A Case Report on Multiple Adverse Events Associated with Systemic Usage of Dexamethasone

Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid used in the management of various allergic conditions, inflammatory and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, nausea vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral edema. ADRs usage corticosteroids includes steroid-induced hyperglycemia, osteoporosis, dyslipidemia, Cushing syndrome, cataracts, increased risk infections, thinning skin. Cushing's syndrome hormonal disorder triggered due to chronic exposure body tissues high levels cortisol. As are widely by physicians for disorders, patients must be warned about possible use. In summary, this case patient who developed adverse events after dexamethasone that evident clinical features laboratory investigations which was successfully provided symptomatic supportive care.
